Location

Perimeter Industrial Estate is strategically located on the border of the Margaret River townsite, which falls within the thriving Shire of Augusta-Margaret River.

Renowned as one of Western Australia’s premier lifestyle and tourist destinations, the Margaret River region has an estimated population of circa 20,000 and attracts approximately 1.7 million overnight visitors annually, fuelling strong economic activity and demand for local services.

Over the past decade, the Margaret River region has experienced rapid commercial growth and today, it boasts a diverse and self-sustaining economy spanning construction, retail, hospitality, tourism, manufacturing, distribution, and leisure industries.

The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River is estimated to generate $2.74 billion in annual economic output with industrial activity accounting for approximately $1.38 billion of this total, highlighting the region’s expanding commercial and industrial capacity.

This represents a significant increase in industrial activity of approximately $488 million compared with 2018/2019, when total output was $1.73 billion, including $892 million from industrial sectors. This growth reflects a dynamic and increasingly resilient local economy, positioning the Shire as an attractive destination for high-quality industrial development and long-term investment.

The Perimeter Industrial Estate is designed to support this momentum of growth by providing the next stage of industrial land for the region.

The Estate offers direct access to Perimeter Road, a key transport corridor connecting to Bussell Highway north and south ensuring its users have seamless connectivity to all major South-West townsites.

Currently, the town relies on the fully occupied Margaret River Light Industrial Area - highlighting the need for additional industrial infrastructure. With highway access and superior logistical connectivity, Perimeter Industrial Estate is primely positioned to become the region’s leading industrial hub.
